News From Miami Beach to Long Beach (and all stops in between)

I announced that we added new affiliates for the syndicated Mortgage Rates Report last week.  Here’s a glimpse at what’s happening in some of the local communites in which we fund mortgages:

Rick Garcia gives you a tour of the Miami river from a boat with this five minute video.  I know little about Miami’s renaissance other than what Rick and Ines Garcia tell me at Miamism.  It apears that the high rise condominiums have sprouted up along the Miami River.  If you were born before 1975, you’ll swear the music from the video was from a famous 80’s television series.

Laurie Manny tells us about the current transformation of the Colorado Lagoon Park in Long Beach, CA.  While Laurie isn’t recommending you to get your swim suit wet, she highlights a little 40 acre corner of tranquility in the coastal city in Los Angeles County.

Up the freeway a bit, Cheryl Johnson of NELA Live republishes an excerpt from “A Southern California Paradise, by Clinton B. Ripley.  The late Mr. Ripley gives us an account of the home buying process, in Los Angeles, from 120 years ago.  Southern California history buffs will appreciate this.

Cindy Dicianni from Kansas City described the shaky ground that city stood on, a couple of weeks ago when they felt the aftershocks of an Illinois earthquake.

Shaking things up is the norm at BloodhoundBlog.  I contribute to this industry site.  Co-contributor Dave Phillips. CEO of the Charlottsville Board of Realtors debunks the myth that houses are in a complete free fall.

I also contribute to HomeGain.  Mike Farmer does as well.  He tells us why YOU love pictures of homes and why agents should give ‘em to you.

That’s what’s happening in MortgageRatesReport land. Enjoy this little trip around the country!
